Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 12 September 2026
This policy explains the general approach of NORLIUM LTD, trading as Norlium Technology, to cancellations and refunds. Your statutory rights are not affected.
1. Before work begins
If you need to cancel or change a booked service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at contact@norlium.co.uk.
Where no work has started and no non-refundable third-party cost has been incurred specifically at your request, any amount paid in advance will normally be refundable, subject to applicable law and the terms agreed for the service.
2. Consumer distance and off-premises contracts
If you are a consumer and enter into an eligible service contract remotely, such as by telephone, email or online, or in certain off-premises circumstances, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.
The exact right depends on the type of contract and the circumstances in which it was made.
3. Services requested during the cancellation period
If you expressly request that a service starts during an applicable statutory cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied before you tell us that you wish to cancel, where permitted by law.
Where the law requires specific acknowledgement or consent before work starts during a cancellation period, we will obtain it where applicable.
4. Completed services
Statutory cancellation rights may end once an eligible service has been fully performed where the legal requirements for starting and completing the service during the cancellation period have been met.
5. Problems with a service
If a service supplied to a consumer is not performed with reasonable care and skill or does not conform to what was agreed, statutory remedies may apply.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include repeat performance or an appropriate reduction in price, which can include a refund where legally required.
6. Business customers
Statutory consumer cancellation rights do not generally apply to customers purchasing wholly for business purposes.
Cancellation rights for business customers will therefore depend on the quotation, proposal, contract or other terms agreed for the particular service.
7. Third-party costs
Some work may require products, licences, domain registrations, subscriptions or other third-party services to be purchased specifically for a customer.
Before incurring material third-party costs, we will aim to explain relevant charges and any restrictions on cancellation or refunds. Any statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Refund method
Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed or applicable law requires otherwise.
Refunds will be made within the period required by applicable law.
9. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email contact@norlium.co.uk and include your name, relevant service or quotation details and the reason for your request where appropriate.
10. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes, restricts or replaces any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
